From the Back Cover
All Sophie Creedon has ever wanted is a normal life - but normal life doesn't seem to want Sophie. Strikingly pretty, a top student, with unique musical talent, the London schoolgirl has always stood out from the crowd. But it's the Revenants that truly set her apart: creatures not quite living, not quite dead, and visible only to Sophie. Hard as she tries to ignore them, her haunting has cost her friends, opportunities, even her parents' trust.
In a last-ditch effort to free herself of it, she foregoes a university place in favour of a waitressing job in the tiny village of Ardnasheen, on Scotland's wild northwest coast. Though at first Ardnasheen seems to offer exactly the refuge Sophie has been looking for, she quickly realizes that it harbors dark secrets of its own. Barely a week into her new life, she finds herself caught up in a bitter rivalry between Sam and Lucas, two young landowners. One is charming, the other brooding, and both irresistibly compelling. But the roots of their hostility run deep into a mysterious past that seems to involve Sophie. As they vie for her attention, she is forced to choose which one to trust.
Sophie is about to discover the love of her life - and a secret to die for.

Couldn't put it down!
By GB
I wasn't sure what to expect in a "young adult" novel but since I've loved all of Sarah Bryant's novels so far, I packed it for my trip last week. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly engaging the story was. The characters seem very real and it is fun to picture them in this dramatic landscape. As usual with this author's books, I didn't want to put it down. If fact, I didn't put it down- I read it cover to cover on a 6 hour flight. I wish all my flights would pass so quickly! I wish I had packed Riven for my return flight!

Beautifully tortured souls...
By Tanit Sakakini
Every once in a while there's a book that keeps me up till the early morning hours, night after night. Bound was one of those "can't stop until I'm finished" reads. I'm a sucker for good love triangles and smart fantasy, and author Sarah Bryant delivers both in Bound and its sequel, Riven. The heroine, Sophie Creedon, is quirky and independent and stayed with me even when I wasn't reading, the way I always hope a good character will. Finally, Bryant not only spins a good yarn but does so with literary finesse - nice to have both for a change. Bound introduces us to a lush and artfully rendered world of beautifully tortured souls...just the kind of company I love to keep!

A great read
By nana
Like all of Sarah Bryant's books, this is a page-turner. Although aimed at teenage readers, there is something in it for everyone. Set in the Highlands of Scotland, where second sight has been common, it starts out as a normal story about a 17-year old girl going to work in a pub in a remote village - an obvious escape, but we don't know from what at first. It doesn't take long to find that things are not as they seem, and the story gets more and more intricate. Although not everything rings true, it doesn't really matter, because it is a cracking good read, and makes me look forward to reading the sequel when it comes out.
